The challenge

Single-region deployment caused 8-hour outages during regional failures. Needed multi-region setup with automated failover and data replication.

What Devs & Logics delivered

  • Solution 1: EKS clusters in US-East, EU-West, and AP-Southeast with cross-region networking
  • Solution 2: Velero for backup/restore with automated cross-region replication
  • Solution 3: ExternalDNS + Route53 for global load balancing and health checks
  • Solution 4: ArgoCD for GitOps-based deployments across all regions
  • Solution 5: Prometheus + Grafana for multi-region monitoring and alerting

Outcomes

  • Achieved 99.99% uptime across all regions
  • Reduced recovery time from 8 hours to under 5 minutes
  • Deployment success rate increased to 99.8%
